There is not publication date but the color contents parallel the 1957 edition. It also appears pages have been removed. Buyer will need due diligence. G+ (A 2" x 4" portion of dj surface is rubbed off; some soiling to dj; interior text and plates are good, though adjacent pages show slight tanning outline of plates.).

Both the book and the dust jacket in very nice shape. You can see the covers of the book in the photographs. They are exceptionally clean. The brown illustration on the front is nicely bright, as is the lettering on the spine.There is very little wear, just a little crinkling on part of front and rear side of the spine. The cover edges and corners are in very good shape, no rubbing. There are a few little tan spots on part of peak peak the top edges. The page edges are very clean. There is a slight rearward lean at the top of the spine. The book is very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. The interior of the book is in excellent condition. Scrolling through the text and illustration pages, I'm not finding any instances of soiling. I'm also not finding any instances of creasing. There are no markings. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. There is a small, and light discoloration on the front and rear inside covers, fairly inconspicuous, nothing much of anything. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. I've always had it in a fitted protective cover. The jacket is in rather nice condition. There is a little, thin tear off the front top edge. One of the same off the front bottom edge. Off the top edge of the rear cover there is a thin crease with two tiny tears and a speck-sized loss. There is some very tiny spotting on the spine and on parts of the front, nothing that stands out. The flaps are in very good shape, very clean, no tears. The jacket is not priced or clipped. I've taken off the protective cover because it had gotten a little worn over the years. I'll replace it with a new one after the photos are taken in order to avoid glare.
