Moderate wear to wrappers (soiling and rubbing), previous owner's signature and "1934" penned to top of front wrapper. Two light markings in text. Very Good. Dark rose colored stiff printed paper wrappers. Stapled. Now housed in a clear archival mylar sleeve.

Condition: A NF copy. 4 pp. unnumbered. One full color illustration on upper wrapper. 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" This wine list is from a dinning car owned by the Fred Harvey Company. Fred Harvey (1835 - 1901) owned around 45 restaurants along the railroad and 20 dinning cars. His restaurant legacy lasted until his gradson died in 1965. The Fred Harvey Company was the sixth largest food retailer in the United States when it sold in 1968. Stamped in blue ink on the upper wrapper is the date "Nov 21 1942". On the inside at the head it also states "For Victory, Buy United States War Savings Bonds And Stamps". A sign of the times. Included in the list are California and imported wines, liquor, mixed drinks, beer, cigars/cigarettes and playing cards. Also is an extensive list of waters and juices. White, self wrappers, black lettering, now housed in a mylar sleeve.

Was not in the 1895 guide, nor the 1905. It was in the 1906 Vol. III guide that we see The Louvre listed again but at its second location at Fillmore and Eddy. A German restaurant that had German wines, French Wines, California wines, Italian wines as well as a selection of mixed drinks. A VG copy. Soiling to wrappers, some ink markings (red, blue and black) adjusting menu items/prices, some pencil scribbles to last leaf, some soiling to leaves, age toning to leaves, overall a nice copy of this rare wine list. Merlot colored card stock wrappers, printed in green with some gilt. White glossy paper leaves, printed in red and black, held together with a tie, now housed in a mylar sleeve.
