Allseitiger Gelbschnitt, seitlicher Schnitt etwas… angeschmutzt, insgesamt leicht berieben. Handumstochene Kapitalbändchen. (22 x 19 cm) 8°. "1. Der Mensch ist ein Wesen welches nach Vorstellungen handelt. (.) Die allerwichtigste Wissenschaft für den Menschen ist daher die Selbsterkenntnis. (.) Blatt 1" Die teils nach Thomas von Aquin, Descartes, Leibniz, Christian Wolff(!) oder Bahrdt klingenden Erkenntnisse mit zahlreichen Bibelstellen "belegt". Das Manuskript für eine geplante Veröffentlichung, oder Exzerpte, bzw. eine kopierte Vorlesungsmitschrift? Der oder die Schreiberin, mit einer schönen ausgeschriebenen und flüssigen Handschrift, ist für uns nicht zu ermitteln. Auffällig jedoch der Versuch die Gedanken der Aufklärung mit denen der Bibel zu verbinden. Mit Tinte, nahezu ohne Fehler, nur vereinzelte Einfügungen, kaum je Streichungen, auf gutes Schreibbütten doppelseitig in meist 17 bis 19 Zeilen notiert. Der durch senkrechten Knick des Blattes erzielte seitliche Rand fast nie überschrieben. Insofern wohl eher eine Ab- oder Reinschrift, als eine Mitschrift oder ein Entwurf. Für uns ist es leider nicht möglich zu belegen, wer Auguste E. Wolff war, aber wir vermuten stark, daß es sich um eine Person aus dem familiären Umfeld der Nachfahren des Philosophen der Frühaufklärung handeln könnte. Das Anfang September 1817 begonnene religionsphilosophische Manuskript ist u.W. bisher unveröffentlicht.
