A reflective travel and philosophical memoir by Danish author Johan Wøller, originally published in Denmark as Borobudur. This American edition was issued by Alfred A. Knopf in 1936, translated by Claude Napier, and produced in Knopf's characteristic high-quality mid-1930s style. Leather is barely bumped and looks new and supple, with bright gold spine title. Corners very slightly bumped, binding strong with all pages firmly attached. Owners name on front endpaper in pencil, otherwise all pages clean and unmarked. NOT ex-lib. You will notice that my book descriptions are not generic, saying "may have." certain conditions. All descriptions are written with actual book in hand.
