The first three illustrations have been hand-colored by a previous owner. There are no tissue guards. Very good first edition book, in dark green pebbled leather. Filleted borders with small corner rosettes on front and back boards. Spine has "Landscape Annual 1831" and surrounding decorations in gilt. All external edges gilt. Boards have light scuffs; small stain at upper edge on front board panel. Spine is sunned and spine folds and edges at head and tail of spine are scuffed and rubbed. Numerous scuffs and rubs along external board edges, with faint traces of dentelle along fore-edge of back panel. Previous owner's inscription on FFEP. Internal hinges are cracked page after FFEP and page before back free end-paper. Age-toning along internal margins. Small bookseller's label on back paste-down.
