Including first performance in England of Prokofieff "The Prodigal Son", Kieti "The Ball" and Stravinsky "Renard", choreography by Balanchine and Lifar. Both booklets a little worn, tri-fold more so and a little foxed. With two specific programmes, for July 4th, 1929 and July 24th, the first comprising Petrushka, Les Matelots, Las Meninas and Prince Igor, the second Petrushka, The Prodigal Son and Aurora's Wedding. Folded as issued, with further creasing and some small chips and tears. Both performances conducted by Roger Désormière, cast includes George Balanchine, Alexandra Danilova & Serge Lifar.
