Bousefield. In the publisher's original blue and green cloth, with in-text illustrations, a colour frontispiece, eleven other colour plates, and two monochrome plates by British engraver and lithographer Tuffen West. Collated complete. Due to the great progress within science after the first publication, Bousefield felt it necessary to update the information while retaining the enthusiasm and charm from Wood's popular original. The updated version includes fifty new illustrations, and particular revision to the pond-life section of the work. In the publisher's original blue and green cloth. Externally, smart, with a couple of faint marks to board extremities. Slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine, and to the extremities. Minor rubbing to edges.
