Dust jacket shows a few superficial marks from shelving, though no tears, splits, loss or other damage or notable wear; illustrated paper boards superficially creased near spine from reading, otherwise unmarked and sturdy with NO damage or other notable wear; binding tight, square, and secure; ffep, on which author's signature and dedication appear neatly at top-right corner, lightly furrowed at centre, perhaps from sitting upright on shelf for long periods, though this does not effect signature or dedication, pages otherwise show a bit of ink underlining throughout, though this does not effect the legibility of text, pages otherwise crisp and undamaged. A rather special and historically relevant copy of this pioneering attempt to cover the entire Indian works of these two architects. Besides Chandigarth, it covers Le Corbusier's works ar Ahmedabad and also the Bhakra Dam at Nangal. ; 11.5 x 9 x 1.25"; 367 pages; Signed by Author.

Soft cover. Condition: Good. First Edition. A merely good copy of the first softcover edition (binding is wrappers), inscribed and signed in ink "cordialement / Le Corbusier" on the half-title page. Curiously, the recipient's name was at some point erased. Another prior owner's name modestly in pencil atop front blank endsheet. Text is unmarked. Age-toning to the pages, which nevertheless remain supple to the hand. Wrapper is in rather poor condition, with abundant fraying and splitting and a bit of tearing to the front spine seam, and chipping to crown and base of the spine, as well as to the corners. Front panel is loosened partially from the spine and is thus in somewhat precarious condition. One small spot to front wrapper panel, which has bled through to the verso. Signed by Author(s).

Couverture souple. Condition: Très bon. Edition originale.
