Phil Hale (illustrator). ? Stephen King ? The Drawing of the Three ? Grant, 1987. First trade edition, first printing. Signed & inscribed by Stephen King on the first pictorial endpaper page: "For Sue/Best Wishes/Stephen King, 9/23/92." This stands as a scarcer alternative to the signed limited edition and King Actually held the book. Near Fine book in a Near Fine dust jacket, housed in a custom?made slipcase. The essential second volume of The Dark Tower and the book many collectors point to as the moment King's epic fully comes alive. With The Drawing of the Three, Roland's quest explodes outward?new worlds, iconic characters, and King's fearless fusion of fantasy, horror, and the American Western. This is the turning point: where the series becomes legend. A crisp, well?preserved example, clean and tight, with no remainder marks or extraneous ownership. The jacket remains bright and unfaded, showing only the lightest handling. The fully dated, personal inscription elevates the copy well beyond a standard signature, and signed first?trade editions of this title are increasingly elusive in collectible condition. A serious, display?worthy Dark Tower volume, worthy of a high?end Stephen King collection or book fair centerpiece.

Add to basketA first edition, first printing of 'The Drawing of Three' published by Grant in 1987. A very good (or better) book with some spotting to the page edges. SIGNED to the front endpaper, 'For Cassey Clark-/With best wishes/from Roland.and me,/Stephen King/19/27/92/. In a very good, clipped wrapper with a little edge wear. Accompanying the book is a signed postcard, stating, 'Dear Cassy, Enclosed please find your books which Stephen has signed for you. Please be advised that he has had to set a two-book limit, total due to the large amount of requests he receives. Thank you and enjoy. Nancy' Nancy Gilbert worked as a secretary and administrative assistant to Stephen King during the earlier years of his career. She was involved in handling correspondence and office administration at a time when King's popularity and fan mail was expanding rapidly. Her name appears in acknowledgements in some of King's earlier books and is occasionally encountered in relation to typed letters or office responses sent on King's behalf. The inscription is an 'iron-clad' one. The mention of 'The Dark Tower's protagonist, 'Roland' [Deschain] is a lovely one.
