From the estate of a local biology professor, this is a FIRST EDITION, first printing from 1951 (with review notice laid in), this set is bound in publisher's deep blue cloth & lettered in gilt to front & spine (which is faded). Condition is Near Fine: exceptionally clean, bindings straight & strong, pages lightly tanned. Former owner's name stamp to ffep in both, along with a homemade card pocket inside back cover (but not ex-lib). NO writing or underlining or highlighting.
