Light chipping, marking and some closed tears to jacket edges. Damp marking along top edge of the jacket, some old tape reinforcement along the back of the rear panel. Good overall. Begining with 'Cop Hater' (1956), Hunter wrote the 87th Precinct series over the 50's, 60's and 70's under his crime genre pseudonym, Ed McBain. Set in a fictional version of New York City, he later wrote the screenplay for the 1972 film 'Fuzz', staring Burt Reynolds.

Note from Hunter to Mr. Mellor on Hunter embossed note paper, in similar embossed envelop. Note is dated 2/28/77. There was a movie in 1972 with Burt Reynolds, Raquel Welch, and Yul Brynner.
