Somewhat contradictory to the inscription, Murray's engraved bookplate is on the verso of the second front free endpaper. A poem by Murray, "Compensation," excised from The Outlook No. 22, 1902, has been tipped-in at the back endpaper and is additionally signed. VERY GOOD. Shows marginal shelf rubbing of the extremities, spine lightly toned, endpapers toned, slightly over-opened at the front endpaper, otherwise the binding is strong and tight, the text is clean and unmarked, and the boards remain bright and distinct. As pictured.
