Photoplay edition issued in conjunction with the RKO serial film version of the book; the back panel of the jacket has several stills from the serial. The book is in very good condition with a stain to the top edge (which does not penetrate into the pages) and some mild soiling to the boards. The dustjacket has a thumb-sized chip at the lower right corner of its front panel but is otherwise clean and complete. Classic pulp fiction fantasy novel which originally appeared in the Blue Book pulp magazine. Listed in Bleiler, this is the first of the four novels in the Kioga series.

The series tells the story of Kioga, the surviving son of a failed expedition, who grows up on a secret Arctic Island in Siberia heated by natural spring that was the ancestral home of the Native Americans. This Tarzan homage starring Olympic silver medalist Herman Brix was based on the novel by pulp writer William L. Chester and ran for 12 episodes, which were later reedited for television broadcast as *The Lost Island of Kioga*. A like new copy.
