One panel, previously attached to folder, has been mended and reattached to the map. 56 pp. text contains a history of the war through the Battle of Antietam in September 1862. The last date shown is September 24, 1862. It has one-page maps of the battles of Bull Run, Fort Donelson, the Vicinity of Richmond, and Shiloh. The map itself is colored in outline with printed markings to indicate battle sites. It also has tables of populations. This is an early issue of a map which remained popular for individuals following the progress of the war. It continued to be published through the end of the war.
