Reprint. Condition: Gut. pp. 105-120. From the library of Prof. Wolfgang Haase, long-time editor of the ANRW and the International Journal of the Classical Tradition (IJCT). - With dedication by the author to W. Haase. - Lightly bumped, author's name handwritten on cover, otherwise very clean. - From the text: The authorship of the De Intellectu. In a recent book, I have argued against the common attribution of the De Intellectu to Alexander of Aphrodisias. It is impossible, from considerations of space, to do full justice to that argument here. The present paper assumes a knowledge of and a measure of agreement with that argument. It will suffice here to provide a brief summary. Sprache: Englisch Gewicht in Gramm: 550.

A lovely production. Arthur Hamilton Lee, 1st Viscount Lee of Fareham, GCB, GCSI, GBE, PC (8 November 1868 - 21 July 1947) was an English soldier, diplomat, politician, philanthropist and patron of the arts. After military postings and an assignment to the British Embassy in Washington, he retired from the military in 1900. He entered politics, was first elected in 1900, and later served as Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries and First Lord of the Admiralty following the First World War. He donated his country house, Chequers, to the nation as a retreat for the Prime Minister, and co-founded the Courtauld Institute of Art. Julius Bache was born to a Jewish family[1][2] in New York City.[3] His father, Semon Bache [né Bach] (1826-1891), emigrated to the United States from his native Nuremberg[4] Bavaria, settling in New York City where he started the glassmaking firm Semon Bache & Company.[5] In 1881, he started work as a cashier at Leopold Cahn & Co., a stockbrokerage firm founded by his uncle. In 1886, he was made a minority partner and in 1892 took full control of the business, renaming it J. S. Bache & Co. Jules Bache built the company into one of the top brokerage houses in the United States, outranked only by Merrill Lynch. In the process, he became an immensely wealthy individual, a patron of the arts, and a philanthropist. Inscribed by Author(s). Book.
