Sonst sauberes und wohlerhaltenes Exemplar. -----Inhalt:. Ola Kolehmainen's photographs are extraordinarily minimal and almost exclusively depict sections of building façades. They are organized according to strict principles of order, showing rows of repetitive basic patterns or symmetrical constructs. The Minimalist austerity of these images is occasionally broken by elements that circumvent this formalism: trees or houses mirrored in the façades. Kolehmainen's works are produced using the Diasec process, which means that the environment is reflected in the surface of the photos as well as in the images themselves-a calculated component of his work. This volume presents many new, previously unpublished photographs, including two monumental five- and eight-part works by the artist. Ola Kohlemainen (*1964 inHelsinki) is a noted member of the Helsinki School, and he primarily regards his works not as photographs of specific objects, but as objets d'art.Exhibition schedule: Kiasma, Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki, February 26-April 26,2009 lThe National Museum of Photography, Copenhagen, May 29-August 29, 2009 l New Art Gallery Walsall, November 13, 2009-January 24, 2010 l Kuntsi Museum of Modern Art, Vaasa, March 4-May 16, 2010. Sehr guter, nahezu tadelloser Zustand. / Very good almost perfect condition. / Sprache: Finnisch und Englisch / Language: Finnish and Englisch. / EN: The exhibition Tracking Traces examines people, nature and culture through a variety of traces. Metaphorically, it studies tracking and positioning as a kind of expedition. Traces can be found near and far, from the human body to imagery of advertising and urban space. Traces may be deliberately or accidentally created marks or imprints that we leave and meet every day. Tracking Traces comprises three sections: smudge, barcode and imprint. Seller: Fundus-Online GbR Borkert Schwarz Zerfaß, Berlin, Germany
Condition: Gut. ed. 600. 56 p., num. ill., inside of the dust jacket a patch by Maija Luutonen. A perfect copy. - From the foreword by Leevi Haapala, Museum Director: The first artist chosen for Kiasma Commission by Kordelin series is Maija Luutonen (b. 1978). This time we wanted an artist with several years' experience of working in the field of art. Luutonen graduated in 2006 as a Master of Art from the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki, and her works have been seen not only in Finland but also across the Baltic and Nordic regions. Using painterly techniques, Luutonen stretches the boundaries of traditional painting out towards the space and the observing viewer. Particularly interesting in Luutonen's oeuvre is its dazzling visuality and the highly sensory utilization of materials and surfaces. Often created on paper, the works are about creating a space and a presence for the viewer through colour, light and experimentation with media.
