The Edinburgh solicitors Campbell, Martin and Boswell were based at 1 North Charlotte Street, Edinburgh. This Letter Book contains documents relating to the Dalquharran Castle and Kennedy Estate (in relation to Francis Thomas Romilly Kennedy, 1842-1892), numerous other individuals, notably the great-great-grandson and namesake of Robert Burns 1844-96, but also MPs, merchants, and trades.
