The first printing of this seven-page Dylan Thomas story, which was subsequently included in his 1939 collection of the same name. His poem 'We Lying by Seasand' was also included in the same collection, but had been previously printed in the American periodical 'Poetry' in January 1937. The book consists of sixteen poems, written since the publication of his first book and seven stories, which were selected from a much larger number. The book is in very good condition. The binding is straight and tight and the gilt lettering on the spine and front board bright. There is a mark to the top edge of the first board and darkening to the spine. The end papers and pages are free from tears and inscriptions. There is toning and foxing to the rear end papers and toning and foxing to the first few pages, The top edge retains its original brown tint. The dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in fair condition with loss to all the corners, loss to the top edge of the front cover, wear to the edge of the front cover, a mark to the top edge of the spine, loss to the top edge of the back cover and nibbling and three tears to the bottom edge of the back cover. Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
