Published by Kent State University Libraries to commemorate the dedication of a new library building 9-10 April 1971 (less than a year after the killing of four students by the Ohio National Guard during the heated anti-war protest on campus). The creators of the poems and prints were all associated in some way with Kent State and were asked to submit new work for this publication. The poets submitted new poems, the artists prepared sketches on acetate which were reproduced as prints. Thirteen loose 12 by 10 inch broadsides and prints plus title sheet housed in a brown printed paper portfolio. SIGNED BROADSIDE POEMS by John Ashbery, James Bertolino, Gwendolyn Brooks, Denise Levertov, Steven Osterlund and Gary Snyder.
