Cloth. Condition: Very Good. First edition. A smart first edition of this work on the Tokay wine of Hungary and Slovakia. First edition. A study intended to draw attention to the virtues of Tokay wine, a rich, sweet wine originating in the Tokaj wine region in Hungary and the adjoining wine region in Slovakia. This region is noted for its sweet wines made from grapes affected by noble rot, a style of wine which has a long history in this area. Essence, which often takes many years to ferment to an incredible 3-5% alcohol, is the rarest of all Tokay wines. In the original quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards. Externally, very smart with the odd mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting and age toning to the extremities. Very Good. None (illustrator). book.…
