12mo (large), original brown cloth w/embossed black lettering and illustration, 320pp. Scant foxing to preliminaries and a little edgeworn. Cocked, though not severely. The cover and spine's black lettering is in good condition, as is the binding. All said, a very scarce edition in unprecedentedly good condition. The author's fourth novel, Following Darkness recounts the experiences of a young man's coming of age in Ulster. Often credited as an early influence on Joyce, though inarguably a classic in its own right. Seller Inventory # 034692
