Complete with a five page list of subscribers, this a lovely copy of an important work. Wells was determined to supplement "[t]he want of information which prevails in England respecting this colony." In addition to the extensive geographical information and maps, Wells provides an informative digest of the "moral, social, political, [and] commercial" life of Australia. There are particularly interesting sections on the Aborigines, early voyages to Australia, and whaling. Ferguson, 4949. Seller Inventory # 201375
