Woodcuts.

First edition, special issue. Small 4to. Marbled wrappers, printed label. Twelve wood-engravings. Spine faded, and chipped at head and tail; wrappers spotted, with fading to edges of rear wrapper, and some chafing at tail, evidence of a bookplate having been removed from the verso of the upper wrapper, in cloth case. In addition to two hundred small paper copies, and a 'Super Special Edition' of ten large paper copies, with the woodcuts in two states, this is one of twenty-five large paper copies, with the impressions printed in grey. According to Chubb's bibliographer, Anthony Reid, the latter were coloured by hand and signed but this copy, as with the only others I've come across, is uncoloured and unsigned.
