Thomas Henry Huxley (1825-1895), British anthropologist, biologist, and advocate of Charles Darwin. Elected as a Royal Fellow at the age of just 25, Huxley went on to be an exceptionally influential educator, being elected to the London School Board in 1870, and pursuing adult education programmes nationwide.
