This series of arithmetics has been written to supply the demand for a sound and modern interpretation of present day educational ideas concerning the teaching of arith metic. It is intended especially to meet the need for a definite and complete interpretation of the Course of Study in Arithmetic prescribed by the Education Department of the State of New York.
The series consists of two books. The First Book for years three, four, and five, is divided into half-year units, but within each half year the treatment is topical. The Second Book is a complete topical arithmetic, covering, in order, the Syllabus requirements for years six, seven, and eight.
