Also, there are engraved pictorials for the title-page, dedication page, the head of the Introduction, and the table of contents page, plus three smaller pictorials in the front. Tissues are missing for the table of contents and two of the plate title pages. Some tissues have dusty edges. Previous owner's name at head of flyleaf. Gerry Frank was an American soldier from Oregon who fought in the European theater during World War II. After the war he remained in England and attended Cambridge University, where he received a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's degree in politics.
