Original cloth, 28.5 x 21.5cm., xv + 100 pages, frontispiece, 2 maps, all edges gilt, corners slightly bumped with slight wear, some small spots on and a little darkening of the front cover, otherwise externally in very good condition and internally in near fine condition. IMPORTANT NOTE: The contents of this volume are as stated. THERE ARE NO PHOTOGRAPHS IN THIS VOLUME. Instead of both the text and photographs being bound together in one volume, in this case the photographs were, presumably, either bound in a separate volume, or, alternatively, perhaps this was a cheaper issue produced without the photographs for those who could not afford the volume with the photographs, published concurrently, or near concurrently.
