Seine Fotos aus der ehema…ligen DDR, aus Polen und Litauen, Georgien und Armenien, aus Albanien und Kuba markieren Schnittstellen zwischen alten und neuen Ansprüchen, Veränderungen im Erscheinungsbild von Städten und Landschaften und erzählen von den materiellen und psychologischen Problemen der Menschen. Zwischen der Zielstrebigkeit, mit der in den ehemals sozialistischen Ländern eine auffällige (Re-)Christianisierung forciert wird, und der Achtlosigkeit, mit der man christlichen Zeugnissen in Westeuropa und sogar Mexiko begegnet, werden krasse Unterschiede sichtbar. Stone.She won the Novikoff Award given for "enhancing the public's appreciation of world cinema." Among her publications are "The Mystery of B. Traven" and "Eye on the World," a collection of her interviews with filmmakers from the 1960s to the 1990s.
