Si l'on croise régulièrement cette gravure (qui fut notamment reproduite par la revue '"L'Art"), dans des tirages de qualité très diverses, ce présent tirage sur papier de chine semble rare. Béraldi évoque le graveur Paul Rajon comme un "admirable graveur au travail libre, fin et serré". (Béraldi, Graveurs du XIXe, XI, 124). Bon état (petites pliures en marges et infimes éclats d'encre) pour ce tirage au superbe encrage. Langue: Français.

Full page plates, each with tissue sheet for protection. About 60 plates including work by Monet, Degas, Renoir, Rodin, Bonnard, Vuillard and many more. Plates are black and white lithographs. The book measures 11.25 x 14.5 inches. It appears that the book was originally issued in softcover, as there is a 'cover' page bound in at the front with title of the book & much more faded and worn that the interior pages. Front free endpaper has a crease, now unfolded. A remarkable collection by many artists whom we did not realize lived through the first World War. Please email with questions or to request photos.
