Nur ein Dichter von der Kraft und unbestechlichen Redlichkeit Knut Hamsuns oder Upton Sinclair s - ich weiß leider keinen Deutschen von diesem Ausmaß -- könnte die Hölle beschreiben - könnte das Werk geben, dem Wahrheit der höchste Gott sein muß. Nichts anderes kann helfen als Wahrheit - man muß dem Gorgohaupt in die Augen sehen. Die Syphilis beginnt mit der Bildung eines harten Knotens (Schanker) an der Stelle der Ansteckung, meist an den Geschlechtsteilen, bei Übertragung durch Kuß oder unreines Trinkgerät am Munde.
