Lubovniansky hrad, postaveny pred starociami na vysokej skale nad mestom Stara Lubovna, nepatri medzi nase najstarsie, ani najznamejsie hrady, predsa vsak zohraval v nasich dejinach zvlastnu ulohu. Povodne bol postaveny ako pohranicny hrad medzi Uhorskom a Polskom, ale zhodou okolnosti v rokoch 1412 - 1772 patril Polsku. Tu sidlili polski starostovia, predstavitelia najvyssej polskej slachty, a preto sa tu niekolkokrat uskutocnili medzistatne rokovania medzi Uhorskom a Polskom. Hrad vo svojich muroch neraz hostil korunovane hlavy ci uz uhorske alebo polske. O jeho vynimocnosti svedci, ze v polskej dobe "potopy", v rokoch 1655 - 1661, tu boli uschovane polske korunovacne klenoty. Tato publikacia chce citatelov upozornit na hodnotu hradu i hodnotu muzealnych zbierok.
