La galerie Daniel Templon publie un catalogue à l'occasion de l'exposition de l'artiste français Philippe Cognée au Musée d'art moderne et contemporain de Genève qui aura lieu du 9 juin au 17 septembre 2006. L'installation, intitulée Carcasses, est composée de trente-six tableaux inspirés par le Bœuf Ecorché de Rembrandt. Accumulation de carcasses répétées, cette œuvre « champ de viande » s'interroge à la fois sur la société de consommation mais aussi sur le regard cinématographique. La présentation des 36 carcasses en vignette au début du catalogue met en avant cet aspect de manière éclatante. « Ici la peinture se démultiplie pour mieux garantir son irreproductibilité technique », écrit Christian Bernard dans son texte intitulé Carcasses tremblées. Le catalogue comprend également un court texte de l'artiste, décrivant l'arrivée dans l'abattoir et « l'étrange et lourde tension (qui règne) dans cet espace, véritable chambre sacrificielle ». Né en 1957, Philippe Cognée vit et travaille à Nantes.
