Condition: guter Zustand. Schwarze Kreide, auf braunem Papier, rechts unten Nachlaßstempel. 44,2;ca. 61 cm.- Vertikale Mittelfalte und stärkere Gebrauchsspuren. Verso befindet sich der Entwurf für eine Grabinschrift. Danach ist die Zeichnung um 1868 entstanden. Sie ist der Entwurf für ein in wesentlich kleinerem Format ausgeführtes Gemälde auf Papier. Boetticher erwähnt drei Winterlandschaften Schneiders. Schneider war Schüler an der Dresdner Akademie seit Oktober 1841. 1843 trat er in das Landschaftsatelier Ludwig Richters ein, das er 1849 wieder verließ. 1848 hatte ihm Richter ein Ehrenzeugnis ausgestellt.
