There are 6 designs of which many duplications are here. They have been bound together in a two-tone red and black cloth. They are all fine examples on thicker paper that normal for such ephemeral items, all are addressed with short messages of congratulations with senders names added on most if not all. Most in Flemish or French. Unique collection. *Some of these artists were academy status Belgian painters inc Herman Richir who died in 1942 and Fernand Toussaint.

The Flemish engineer and Mayor of Brussels Jean / Jan de Locquenghien (1518-1574) designed the canal from Brussels to Willebroek, opened in 1561. Printed by O. De Rycker and Mendel Bruxelles.
