Great design by the Italian painter Andrea Fossombrone (1886-1963) using a pointillist technique featuring two semi-nude ladies sitting next to a tree and holding up a basket of colourful flowers with the stylised text in a banner in front of the tree - Del passato orgogliosa fidente nel l'avvenire / The past proudly trusting in the future - and in an information box below surrounded by a decorative border. Famiglia Artistica was founded by the Italian painter Vespasiano Bignami (1841-1929) in 1873; the association is still active today. Printed by Officine Chiattone Milan. The poster features an original snipe where the exhibition dates were replaced. Fair condition, restored tears, folds and losses on margins and in image, backed on linen. Size: 100x70cm.
