Limited Edition #446/950 is a collection of loosely gathered signatures - complete as issued - printed on "Velin de Lana" paper with 366 charming erotic color illustrations. Book itself is in G condition - offsetting to first few and last few end papers. Original wraps with closed tears… to spine, front cover and rear fly. These tears have been repaired using archival acid-free tape. It looks much better now, but these flaws do exist. Pieces from front fly are missing as well. The paper used for both text and wraps is rather fragile. Considering age and materials used the book is in G condition overall - text is clean and complete, wraps are clean and bright despite flaws noted.; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Il publie ses pre…miers dessins à l'âge de 9 ans dans un recueil de chanson d'Alexandre Michel et le Tam-Tam en inséra l'année suivante. Il est l'élève de Fernand Cormon à l'École des beaux-arts. Mobilisé, il participe à la Première Guerre mondiale, blessé à Verdun il en reviendra blessé à la jambe. Il illustrera Les Croix de bois de Roland Dorgelès et Ceux de 14 de Maurice Genevoix.

Bound in at rear is a tombola-ticket for the above mentioned event. This elegant brochure was published to comemorate the fourth year of the "Comité d'Organisation de l'Industrie Cinématographique" (COIC: Committee for the Organization of the Cinema Industry), an organization created by the Nazis in the first months of the occupation. The COIC was to oversee and manage film production in occupied France. "Cinéma 1944" is profusely illustrated throughout with 22 pages of b/w photographic reproductions, five original lithographs (by Jean Colin, Grau Sala, Touchagues, Ray Bret Koch, Jean Effel), and features a series of delightful b/w and color sketched portraits of some of the most celebrated French actors of the period, such as: - Raimu; Pierre-Richard Willm; actor and singer Tino Rossi; Claude Genia; actor and director Sacha Guitry; Noel Roquevert; Raymond Rouleau; Michèle Alfa; Jeanne Fusier-Gir; Fernandel; Michel Simon; Charles Vanel; Jean Tissier; Fernand Ledoux; Fernand Gravey; Mila Parely; Suzy Carrier, and Jacques Dumesnil.
