Illustrations were printed using the dry proof method. The typeface used for the title page is Engravers MT while that in the body of the text is based on the Perpetua Gill Family font designed by Eric Gill between 1925 and 1929 for Stanley Morrison, the typographical advisor to Monotype. The capitals and ornaments are ITC Golden Cockerell Capitals and Ornament font. The cover is bound using Skivertex Ostra Grey for the spine and Skivertex Galuchat Light Green for the boards, The cover is gold blocked using Mayflower Antique and ITC Golden Cockrell italic fonts while the spine is set in Trajan font.
