Corrugations in text throughout suggestive of damp storage and sporad…ic light damp stains at outer margin but more pronounced at the prelims. No markings or foxing. VOL. II qtr-bound with gilt titling to tatty label on spine. The bottom half of the spine strip is furled below a lateral tear across the spine. Much surface loss to the bottom half of both boards. [viii] + 514pp. + errata page + coloured and fold-out plates all present as called for. There is damage to the fold-out facing p. 96. The first two blank front endpapers are discol. and detaching as is the upper board. Crack at rear joint but binding robust. Corrugations in text throughout suggestive of damp storage and there is a light damp stain to the bottom half of the contents throughout. No foxing or markings. Condition of Vol. I is Good and that of Vol. II Fair.
