From the blurb - "The introduction by Dr. Harry Thorpe consists of a historical survey of the printed maps of Warwickshire from Saxton to the Ordnance Survey. Maps of special interest are examined in detail and Dr. Thorpe shows how far they reflect the changing face of the County during the period covered by the book. This is followed by a complete catalogue of printed maps of the County from 1576 to 1900 by Mr. P. D. A. Harvey. All editions of a map printed from a single plate are grouped together, changes in the plate are described and lists given of the works in which each edition was issued. This form of arrangement differs from map-lists of other counties hitherto produced and care has been taken to include maps from guide-books and other local publications. " A presentation copy inscribed and initialled by the author " A.S.H. from P.D.A.H. "on the front free endpaper. Top edge spotted otherwise Very Good in darkened and slightly edgeworn dustwrapper.
