A nice signed association copy of the first edition of James Hilton's 1952 Morning Journey, the story of a relationship set in Hollywood, on the stage, and on the screen - two people "fated from their first chance meeting to give and take in such different measure." A bit of a departure from Lost Horizon and Goodbye, Mr. Chips, and yet not. That's how Hilton was. Aileen Carlyle, to whom Hilton inscribed and signed this copy, was a Hollywood actress whose supporting and other roles included the films Notorious, Harvey, Mrs. Miniver, Three for the Show, Miracle Woman, That Girl, and the TV show The Monkees.
