222p hardcover, dark surface layer cracking along the outside of the hinges, though the inside remains intact; dustjacket folded and tipped in at the rear, plastic protective cover apparently added by a later dealer. This copy signed by the author, who was also the president of the Sword Research Society of Japan, under his portrait, and his business card is bound in. A printed label from Ray Riling of the Arms Collecting Service notes, "For my customers I have requested the author of 'NIPPON-TO' to insert his calling card and to autograph a limited number of these books, of which your copy herewith is one." Bookplate from the collection of Paul I. Wagner.

VG dj with light edge-wear/couple of nicks to tips. No serious tears or chips . Scarce book with much detailed information. This is a spectacular copy, about the nicest we have seen.

Japanese culture permeates Fleming's novel 'You Only Live Twice' (1964). Signed.
