Hauff & Co.: 'Die Firma fabriziert seit den 1880er Jahren vorzugsweise (Salze und Säuren für pharmazeutische Zwecke sowie) kristallisierte Karbolsäure, Salizylsäure und Salizynate, Pikrinsäure, Rhodansalze und Schwefelkohlenstoff, verlegt sich aber seit geraumer Zeit auch auf die Herstellung photographischer Präparate, Platten und Films sowie verschiedener Zwischenprodukte für die Farbstoff-Fabrikation.' [.] Das Ende des Ersten Weltkrieges führte zu einer Umstrukturierung der Produktpalette. So konzentrierte man sich zunächst auf die Herstellung von Entwicklern und zahlreichen Chemikalien für den Fotobedarf sowie auf die Vervollkommnung von Trockenplatten und Filmen.
