Lars Englund è nato nel 1933 a Stoccolma e oggi vive a Jonstorp, nella contea di Scania. Englund è stato celebrato con una grande mostra personale al Moderna Museet di Stoccolma nel 2005. Tra le mostre personali nella contea di Scania figurano la Dunkers kulturhus di Helsingborg nel 2003, la Lunds konsthall nel 2002 e la Krapperups konsthall di Höganäs nel 1998. Nel corso degli anni ha partecipato ad acclamate mostre internazionali a Venezia, Varsavia, New York e, più recentemente, a Parigi alla mostra 2021 del Centre Pompidou [Aerodream]. Book.

Mais il ne s'agit pas d'un livre sur la gymnastique mais d'un livre sur une nouvelle génération d'artistes suédois (ils sont huit dont les noms sont donnés ci-dessus). L'ouvrage compte 151 pages. Nombreuses reproductions photographiques des oeuvres, la plupart en noir mais certaines en couleurs et contre-collées. Ce volume est très représentatif des recherches artistiques des années 1970.
