What has been considered to be Hyalina moussoni Kobelt, 1878, appears to represent a new species, here described s.n. Oxychilus (Schistophallus) investigatus n. sp. Riedel (SW. Bulgaria, northern parts of European Turkey, and NW. Asia Minor). The holotype of Oxychilus (Schistophallus) moussoni (Senckenberg-Museum, Frankfurt a. M.)was compared to recent material from both sides of the Bosporus, and found to agree perfectly; anatomical details are supplied for the first time. A new subspecies of the troglobitic, pulmonate snail Spelaeoconcha paganettii Sturany, viz. S. p. alphonsi subspec. nov., is described from Yugoslavia and data concerning the nominate subspecies and S. p. polymorpha Wagner, are summarized. The polytypic species is distributed from the coastal area westward to c. 130 km inland, which is a unique pattern for a molluscan troglobiont. Next to the so-called well-known Balea (B.) perversa, there is another wide-spread consubgeneric species in western Europe, viz. B. (B.) heydeni. Here the latter species is reported from the coastal area of The Netherlands. It may be sympatric with B. (B.) perversa, which has been reported from all over the country. Two new species of Monachoides Gude and Woodward, M. kosovoensis and M. taraensis, are described from Kosovo and Crna Gora, Yugoslavia, on the basis of conchological and anatomical characters. The assignment of both species to the genus Monachoides is somewhat doubtful in view of the presence of a small second dart-sac in M. kosovoensis, and the atypical shell of M. taraensis. A lectotype shell of Monacha fallax Wagner, 1915, is designated and figured.
