Nicely illustrated book, as well as one that is based on a different understanding of the meaning of 'celebrity' to the present day; the celebrities here are William Morris, Lord Leighton and Samuel Taylor Coleridge. As well as the attractive bookplate, the book appears to have been acquired in Hankow (now part of Wuhan) in late 1927 by a C Evelyn Harrison; this is unusual as many western residents had left Hankow earlier that year after anti-Japanese riots in the city.
