I teologiskt avseende var han kritisk till katolska kyrkans förvärldsligande, men, ehuru tillsatt av Gustav Vasa personligen, anti-luthersk. Som översättare och författare var han mycket produktiv och skrev i vitt skilda ämnen. Inget tycks dock ha tryckts i hans livstid.
