Revised edition of a novel originally published in hard covers by Wright and Brown in 1950. The spine has some reading creasing. There is also some reading creasing down the edges of the front and back covers next to the spine and a tiny dent to the surface of the front cover but the covers otherwise have only light edge and surface wear. Browning to the page edges with one small mark to the fore edges. Pages browned with a light dent to the first few pages but otherwise clean and unmarked. Cover illustration by G. Benvenuti. First printing.

Condition: Fair. No Edition Remarks. 90 pages. No dust jacket. Pictorial paper covered boards. Black and white illustrated frontispiece. Pages are lightly tanned throughout. Pencil inscription to half-title page. Front free endpaper cut out. Slight cracking to gutters causing binding to be loose, however pages remain attached. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Slight crushing to spine ends.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Original blue boards are very good with some fading to foot of front board, and corners are lightly bumped. Internally a gift inscription to the FFEP, pages are lightly age toned, otherwise very clean throughout with 'First Published 1938' to copyright page. The 2/6 reprint jacket is in very good - condition, chipping and edgewear visible, some closed tears. edges are rubbed and rear panel is grubby and shows creasing. Overall a nice copy. Author better known as John Creasey.
