Collated, complete.A detailed volume of Roman Catholic rites and traditions, intended for use incathedral, collegiate,parish andregularchurches.With the stamp of St. Edwards Seminary Library, and St. Thomas Semitary Library Washington, to the front free endpaper and title page, and a former owner's inscription to the head of leaf *2.Written by Michel Bauldry, a French Catholic priest who was born in Evron, who first published this work in the late seventeenth century. In a full calf binding. Significant loss of leather to back strip tail, with further section to back strip head detaching. Significant rubbing to board perimeters. Joints starting, with rear board a touch tender, and front board tenderly held by one cord only. Front free endpaper detached. Stamps to front free endpaper and title page. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age toned, with significant spotting throughout. Inscription to head of leaf *2. Large closed tear to folding table. Good Only. book.

Condition: Very Good. 8vo, xviii, 460pp, title page, with decoration, printed red and black, decorative initial capitals and engraving at chapter heads, some tailpieces, 2 full-page engravings, a 2pp chanting score printed red and black, a folded Tabula Perpetua also printed red and black, contemporary full vellum, dull on the spine, top of spine repaired, upper outer hinge split for about one inch, edges speckled in red, some pages in the preliminaries faintly browned and/or dusty, and a few ghostly-faint spots elsewhere but text remarkably clean, here and there a mark drawing attention to a paragraph, two or three small notes in margins and a note on the back free endpaper, overall vg.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. In contemporary speckled calf, corners bumped. Spine, raised bands, gilt tooling, gilt titles to red calf label, worn with some loss at edges and along upper joint. Internally, rubricated title, [15], [1], 1-791 pp, 1 folding table, 1 large illustration within text, 2 pages of music, ink name to tp ?? Robinson & to ep, 2 book labels tp fpd, calf tear to upper board, text block edges speckled red. (204*146 mm).

Insignificante forellino di tarlo al margine, frontespizio in due colori, testo su due colonne, due pagine di musica con spartito su quattro righi. Opera presente esclusivamente nella Biblioteca universitaria di Sassari e nella Biblioteca dei frati minori cappuccini di Viterbo. Esemplare perfetto. Legatura in tutta pergamena coeva, titoli in oro su tassello al dorso, pp. 16, 432, in 8°.
