A detailed military history of The Grenadier Guards, the most senior infantry regiment of the British Army, during the Second World War in which the regiment was expanded to six service battalions. Volume one focuses on the campaigns in North-West Europe, with chapters on the British Expeditionary Force, Normandy, the Pursuit to Brussels, the Battle of Nijmegen, Holland, through the Siegfried Line, and the crossing of the Rhine into Germany.
