This first printed collection of…Paman's poetry follows the Rawlinson manuscripts where possible. Paman (1612-63) was a contemporary of Davenant, Suckling, Crashaw and Lovelace though not, apparently, a member of the Cavalier circle. Like theirs, his work exhibits the strong influence of John Donne.
